Raman has worked for UK’s leading charities in the areas of mental health and addictions at practitioner, manager and consultancy levels. Following a first degree in Psychology, she has trained in Integrative Transpersonal Counselling. She is experienced in working in a diverse range of environments from hospitals, community clinics, prisons, supported housing and private therapy centres. In recent years her work has focused on developing innovative trauma-informed therapeutic services.
Raman has extensive experience in leading service teams which provide mental health and addiction treatment. Creating effective cultures for therapeutic support and change through teams, groups and communities is an area of special interest. Leading with care, compassion, candour and the client experience as central are guiding principles in her approach. Her personal practice includes applied mindfulness and movement-based practices.
